Cheaha Brewing Company’s First Year Anniversary Celebration

Anniston, AL – May 17, 2014 – Saturday May 24th, Cheaha Brewing Company hosts an all-day celebration of its first year anniversary with the launch of a new logo/branding, a new menu with seasonal favorites, food and drink specials, live music from The Gypsy Begonias and The Steel City Jug Slammers, and a backyard home brewing demonstration.

As a special nod and thanks to the local community and customers, Cheaha Brewing Company commissioned a new logo with branding to match the current décor and company message. “We wanted the logo to deliver the same message we deliver in the Cheaha Brewing Company experience … the focus on historic downtown Anniston, the awesome history and structure of the building, the old L&N Freight Train Station, and our community.  We also wanted a unique image of the stylized hop representing a slightly modern approach to the tradition of the fresh, green ingredients we use in both our food and craft beer” says owner, Rodney Snider.

This time of year is also the perfect opportunity to offer a fresh new menu of seasonal favorites with the availability of local farmer’s markets.  Food and drink specials are also planned for Cheaha Brewing Company’s anniversary celebration.

For the perfect vibe and groove, live music for the anniversary celebration comes from local favorites, The Gypsy Begonias and The Steel City Jug Slammers.

… and certainly not least, Cheaha Brewing Company celebrates its first anniversary with a backyard home brewing demonstration. Folks are always welcome to drop by the on-site brewery to watch and ask questions, but you never know at what stage the brewing process may be. The backyard brew begins at noon with small batch home brewing equipment, so folks can better see the entire process. If interest in the demonstration is as high as expected, Cheaha Brewing Company also plans to provide a sign-up sheet for those interested in hands-on home brewing classes.

Snider says “It’s been a great year, and we look forward to many more and even more growth opportunities for local foods, flavors, special events, and live music venue options. The anniversary celebration is our way of celebrating WITH the community we serve even as we expand those services with the addition of a private event space and support of The Downtown Market, Anniston’s fresh farmer’s market scheduled to begin mid-June right here in front of the pub on the corner of 12th and Walnut.”
