Anniston, AL – February 15, 2013 – Cheaha Brewing Company plans to launch Anniston, Alabama’s first brewpub in the renovated L&N Freight Train Station located in the heart of downtown Anniston in late spring of 2013.
In addition to the craft beer brewed on site, the restaurant will offer typical pub-style food with atypical attention to quality. “We use top quality ingredients in our craft beers, and we are just as adamant about using fresh, high quality foods in the kitchen.” says Rodney Snider, CEO of Cheaha Brewing Company and local Anniston resident. As Cheaha Brewing Company grows, specials will also be offered to pair natural food flavors and locally grown food with each hand-crafted beer.
By mid-March, Cheaha Brewing Company will open for a morning brew of coffee and light breakfast items, so folks can stop by, say hello, and check on the progress of the Portland Kettle Works brewing equipment installation and the bar build-out. After the equipment is installed and vetted, the brewpub will open for evening hours later this spring.
The brewpub founders, Rodney Snider, Kimberly Schneider, and Rick Okins, are passionate about craft beer and are even more passionate about bringing it to Anniston.
Snider says, “We are extremely excited to open our doors in Anniston, especially in such a special landmark building in the middle of the revitalization downtown. We want to provide a warm and welcome environment where people will feel at home and enjoy our artisan, hand-crafted beer. Too, developing relationships with our customers and fellow business owners as we participate in the community’s overall vision for Anniston and the surrounding area is very important to us.”
Karl Walser, COO says, “We’re very eager to promote the appreciation and enjoyment of craft beer in the Anniston area. We’re also pleased to help grow the range of high-quality fare already available downtown. The feedback and enthusiasm we’ve received deepens our desire even more to succeed and provide quality service to the city and community. We’re excited to get started!”
