Cheaha Brewing Company’s brewpub is now open!
As of Thursday, May 23rd the brewpub will soft-open with a light menu of vittles and local Alabama and regional beers on tap.
The comfortable community feel of the brewpub has blended really well with the vintage charm of the old L&N Freight Train station, and the back porch is quickly becoming a little green garden oasis for friends to hang out and enjoy the Alabama evening air.
“Everything’s coming together nicely” said co-owner, Rodney Snider. “We’re eager to introduce the community to Cheaha artisan craft beer, but we wanted to start with a soft opening for several reasons.
We want to give folks the opportunity to come by for a bite and a brew, take a look around, and enjoy the community atmosphere of the brewpub. We also realize that a lot of this is new.
It’s a new brewpub, a new brewery, new craft beers, a new staff, new equipment, and a new watering hole in general. We didn’t want to overwhelm the community (or ourselves) with so much ‘new’ all at once.”
Cheaha craft beers brewed on-site are coming soon. The on-site brewery is not open yet, but a grand opening is planned in a few weeks when Cheaha beers will be available on tap. The vittles menu will also increase to pair even more local food options with a variety of Cheaha craft beers.
Until then, soft opening hours for Cheaha Brewing Company’s brewpub (corner of 12th and Walnut in historic downtown Anniston) begin this Thursday the 23rd.
- Thursday 4-9 pm
- Friday and Saturday 4-10 pm
- Sunday 12-6 pm.
